I am torn between taking the body lift out or leave it in after the SAS/SOA. I think the truck is extremely tall as it sits right now and I'm a little afraid of flopping on the trail. On the flip side, I still flex the 35s into the wheel wells. So would you take the BL out or would you leave it in?

And yet the wheels flex all the way up into the wheel wells (both front and rear), which is making me hesitant to take it out.

Voted Leave it , I think if you do remove it you will eat your tires or fenders one or the other , but it looks Sweet how tall it is to me ! .

I say keep it. It will save you some work and down time.

How about if you take it off you sell it to me, an i pay you to help me put it on lol :)

I suggested you leave it on for future repairs and mods. It also give you more approach and departure angle clearances.

The only two guys that can answer the pros and cons to having a body lift on a SAS'd Trac would be Chad and TxPlates, Chad has since sold his Trac (wish I would've bought it). TxPlates has a V8 in his and has radius arms instead of leafsprings which are two different animals when it comes to body roll and stability. I would email or pm both of them to get their opinions on this.

Good point with the tires

Leave it and switch to 36s.

Hmm… 36s or all out with 37s? If only money grew on trees.

It made putting in the crossmember easier and this just popped in my head but the way I remounted the brush guard I'd have to fab up all new mounts for it to work without the BL.
I came darn close to buying Chad's, even talked price, etc. when my transmission went on mine but decided to hold on to mine and make it look like Chads instead lol.
I'll have to hit up those guys and see what they think. Plus I'm sure TxPlates knows John Rock's opinion of the BL too.

That and if you buy my back bumper/ swingout tire carrier it'll bolt right on with no mods.

dude leave it as your flex pic highlights the rear wheel tucks fully in to the fender and any bigger wheel or less lift would require you to remove the cladding and or cut the fenders (fiberglass work blows)

Haha if only. Sounds like the BL will be staying.

Remove it and break out the sawzall!
