So this is swiper I just bought her 2 weeks ago for 1500, shes got 99k miles.
So I got her and the turn signals didnt work (been using my arm been busy diagnosing a misfire)
But last night my dash lights went out and I got pulled over for no tail lights, I had no idea they went out too. Luckily the chippys were nice enough to give a warning but I really need to fix all of these lights... so my question is how should I diagnose these and what do I need?
Theres alot of little things making a big list but one thing at a time. Thank you in advance for your help!

i see you vehicle is equipped with a trailer hitch. trailer wiring often causes shorts, start by examining the trailer harness wiring carefully. the dash and tail lights are all on the same circuit. that fuse is probably blown.

Yea look under the driver side taillight from under the truck, if there is a trailer harness that's the factory plug location, or it could be like mine and be inside the driverside panel in the back where the jack is,

Thank you delexploder and koda2000. But do you think my tutn signals are on the same too? They have never worked and I dont even get a rapid click or ding noise when I try to click it to left or right? Same if I try to hit my flashers
Ill pull off the trailer harness and replace a fuse and tell you guys what happens. Btw its a 97 XLT trotter addition? And its missing the cover to the fuse pannel...

i don't know about the turn signal problem. it could be a bad flasher, or the multi-function switch. the turn signal flasher is located behind the driver's side knee-panel and is usually yellow (sometimes black). to get to the flasher, remove the 4 screws along the bottom edge of the plastic trim panel, pop the panel off from the upper corners. under the plastic panel you'll find a metal panel which is held on with 4 bolts (10mm?). remove the metal panel and you'll see the flasher just to the left of the steering column.

BTW: while you under there, it's the perfect time to adjust your gear selector needle (if your truck is like most and the needle doesn't point directly at the correct gear). there's a small thumb-wheel adjuster for the cable under there.

 yup
