Have any of the mods you've done...made your SUV look more like a cop car?

I am a Whelen Engineering rep and my Explorer is set up as my demo. I have Smoked Microns and Ions in the grill, 3.5" round super LED's in the driving lights with white over ride, LINSV2's under the mirrors with the LED puddle light feature, front inner edge on both sides in the windshield, rear RTX inner edge with TA, vertex in the taillights and Microns in the rear reflectors in the rear bumper and also in the license plate bracket. All controlled by CanTrol. I also installed a Havis console. That was a real PTA.... lots of wiring in those factory consoles.

PA stateys have them too. every time i see a white one I am like oh sh*t and at least i should know a little better, but man that roof rack looks like cherries from 50 yards away

Yes I do recall the good old days of gnarly righteous and even excel-lent. Now everything is SICK!!!!!
So I got a few more photos that really show off the contrast of the black and yellow.
I had no idea I would ever say I like the mix of black and yellow but this IMHO works very subtle/clean looking

Very nice looking truck is that an interceptor? I'm thinking of starting a project with one, think 92 gmc typhoon.. The google has not shown a lot pictures or info on moding them. Thinking it might make a nice suv hot rod...

Hard to capture the lights working in sequence. The rear picture didn't show the Vertex's in the taillights or the Micron's around the license plate lighting up.

Do you have a close up of your lights built into the bumper? Did you remove your reflectors? I'm an on-call fire fighter and was looking for more light in the rear and like the setup of your bumper lights

The reflectors were just cut to the accommodate the microns. Very easy, then the reflectors were dusted with black paint to darken them just a little bit. All the Microns have our smoked lens so the ones in the bumper are hardly noticeable.

You'll never find anybody in MN (legally) with a personal vehicle rigged up to have lights like a cop car, or even a fire volunteer.
It's Illegal. Here one cannot use the excuse "I am a fireman and I'm speeding to the scene" Nope. can't do it. You're not even allowed to speed to get to the fire station. Only authorized police, fire, medical vehicles are allowed flashing lights.
Sometimes I question those who try to make their vehicles appear as a cop car.

/\ The exception to that rule is a mfg demo. All my lights are clear smoke lens and they show no red/blue when off. Also as an added safety check... my whole system is dead unless I manually turn on a power switch. I can press any button on my controller anytime and nothing will happen until that said override is switched on. I have demo'd my ride to many PD's and everyone of the cops really liked my set up. Nobody has ever looked down at me or said I couldn't have the lights. It's a sales tool for me.

I plasti dipped the grille and wheels and added tint (20%front/15% all other) to all windows (except windshield)

That alone made me realize if cops think we're cops then so do others! lol. Most of the people don't move over though but almost every single car passing by from beside us or opposite lane stares inside the vehicle. I'm thinking they think we may be cops but they look inside just to be sure.

See everyone moves over for me..well 75% plus on my commutes. This bull bar that is going on tomorrow may up that number.

I had a town cop (2 towns over) wave at me a while ago. I don't know any cops in that town. I laughed for a while after that one

Just picked up our 2017 XLT with the sport appearance package last Tuesday so I haven't done any mods yet, but have already had a few people move over on the interstate and had a city cop in a nearby town wave and give me a thumbs up after he realized I wasn't another police officer.
