Hello all....so I may have the dreaded coolant leak coming from my cracked intake manifold.
I will know more by Friday when I take a much closer look. But for now, could someone point me to a replacement intake manifold that WONT crack and leak again? I have heard that the Dorman (615-175) intake manifold replacements are just as bad. Is there another manufacturer that produces one that will last and that is not plastic?
Thanks to all who help with this...it is truly appreciated!

Not sure where I was all this time, but this is a new one for me, never heard of that on this motor and did not come across this issue on mine, 11 years old, and way over 200k miles. But if there is a replacement Dorman part for something, that means there is an issue. They would not invest money into something that happens to small fraction of vehicles. Maybe I have been lucky so far.
Where does it crack ?

It seems to crack below the thermostat housing, and can crack the entire plastic intake. I am going to do some more investigating on the matter on my Mountaineer on Friday when I have time, and report back. I'll take some pictures as well.
Here are a couple pictures of the issue:
