Vehicle is a 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC. Check engine light isn't on but upon running the scanner it shows an error of P1672, which going through the forums shows it is a failed OD band. It's been shifting from 1st to 2nd (might be 2nd to 3rd) with a delay for years now but never gave a problem. Just got used to it and it's been chugging along just fine. My main issue is I did have a random cylinder misfire a week ago with no CEL, and eventually it showed it was cylinder #5 misifiring and showed the CEL. I changed out the spark plugs and harness, cleared the code and I thought all was well. CEL still hasn't came back on at this time and it drives, but if I have to step on the gas fully it still bogs. Also sometimes when at a stand still or turning while coasting the rpm gauge dips to about 300rpm, it's never shut off but it's something I noticed. I will be including freeze frames in regards to the P1762. perhaps someone can check it and give me feedback indicating a bigger problem? I drive 350-450mi a week. I have AAA for the inevitable, but at the sametime I am trying to solve this. It starts and runs absolutely no problem other than that.
-Sidenote: Car was in the shop for 2 days and they couldn't figure out that misfire issue, I was told though that the fuel pressure was fine
