I guess that we scared him off...

I hate it when a potentially good thread dies out w/out a happy ending

From what I have read, the 49 actually looks better leaving the wheelbase at 111.5". Going to pull explorer cab off this afternoon hopefully.
How is your swap going so far? I am going to start mine soon and could use some advice, mine is a 55 f100 but should be similar to yours. Thanks, Roy

I'm starting my build soon... I was going to use a Crown Vic but they are too wide for a 1948 Ford F1, so I'm scoping out options for the 5.0 Explorer. Hopefully in the next week or so I'll have another running one I can use, then I'll start. I'll post some pics when I get started

I am building a '54 F100 on to a '99 Ranger and I have to say that the Explorer frame is the way better choice. I'm having body placement issues with the Ranger frame because the design of it is uphill from front to rear whereas the Explorer design is closer to level similar to the old pickup trucks.
I will post some pictures this Spring

This option doesn’t show?

Well I feel like an idiot. Thanks, I've been staring at the top bar next to the smiley face thing...

No worries, happens to all of us.
