Hi my first real post. I have an 08 Eddie Bauer 4.0 4wd. SD springs took my order for Rancho quick lift all 4 corners. I figured they had new old stock. It went to back order. I thought wow Rancho still produces them. Nope my money was refunded due to there site selling product they dont have and cant get.

Long story short I have put slightly larger tires with only slight rub. I am not planning heavy off road. so a lot of lift is not important. I just want an inch or so in the front as not to over extend the UCA's. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jeff

Hi

Solid flange of 8mm max tickness in front struts will give you approx 15mm total lift without longer strut studs replace.

If you want to get approx 1inch total front suspension lift you should produce approx 15mm solid flange with front strut studs replace to longer ones.

For lifting the rear suspension you will need to take approx 10mm solid flange

Dont use polymer materials for spacer production (because of the high engine temp.)

Thanks for the quick response. When you say solid flange. Are you referring to something like a universal aluminum lift spacer?

Solid flange it is kind of custom made big metal washer, installed between upper strut mount and car chassis..

Ive made this kind of leveling spacers from nylon 6...not a good material for this application.will be replaced soon to AL6061 ones

Gotchya, ok well just moved into a new house and have a garage now. No more driveway mechanics for me. Time to unbox the angle grinder and jigsaw and get to machining. Thanks

You can use this screenshot for front and rear strut spacers (dims are in mm) from Russian Explorer forum:

What is the diameter of those. They dont look much smaller than 4". I am wandering due to thinking of using some 8mm thick 4x100 specific wheel spacers and just drilling the holes as needed. I can trim edges down if needed to be a bit smaller.

Mine front aluminum spacers made of 7mm thick Mercedec Sprinter wheel spacers (approx 132mm outer diameter and 66.6 inner diameter and still fit)

And that actually the reason NOT to use plastic spacers.they have not enough yield stress value for this application (see spacer deformation image below:)
