2002 Ford Explorer Sport Lift Kits?

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and to the modified explorer scene as well so forgive me lack of knowledge on the subject. I just bought a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4. I have been doing some research and found that a lot of people do the SOA swap in the rear to lift their vehicles. I have also heard that some do the add a leaf lift and 3’ torsion keys instead of doing the SOA swap. Which one is better? I do plan to be using this as a overland rig. Thanks everyone! Build for what you plan to do with it.
I would suggest 2" lift shackles and a torsion bar twist with alignment. That would be that little extra clearance over stock for Overlanding and allow a little bit larger more aggressive tire.
There is much info here to search. I am running with a torsion twist, 2" lift shackles, air shocks, 1.5" spacer on stock Limited wheels and 265/75R16 AT's.

I do not think the 02 had torsion bars. Those have I think the Stuts with Springs up front and rear. This is a third Gen Explorer.

The Sports of this time were still really second gens. They didn’t get the ‘02 updates the 4 doors did.

1st step. Look at your body mounts. Are they rotted out? They will need replacement 1st. Shackles & a TT adjustment will clear 31X10.5's no problem.
I have warrior shackles on mine & a TT but still running stock size tires cause they still have plenty of tread.
