Hi guys. Is there any chance (tool) to put it back? I don’t know name for this little part. I used OTC tool to remove the roller follower and this thing just failed off ( maybe I pushed too hard) . I am replacing chains and guides on my 4.0 SOHC . Engine on transmission pulled back. Thanks
That's a valve keeper
I would pressurize the cylinder to hold up the valve
Use your tool to depress the spring and drop in the keeper remove the tool and tap the valve spring with a mallet done
If you want u can use a bit of grease to hold the keepers in place while you work
