When starting my truck it idles really rough when still a bit warm. It's to the point that without giving her gas she cuts off. It'll start to sit at 500 rpm or so after a few hits on the throttle. I noticed that the battery gauge bounced up and down during and the truck feels almost like it's knocking only during this rough idle period. I've also noticed that on full open throttle the truck whistles likes it's supercharged almost lol. I'm guessing it's to do with a vacuum leak? Not sure of the origin and I'd like to get some advice on that. P.S My heat is stuck on and I clamp a tube usually under the hood however I can't recall which one... ITS GETTING HOT

My blend door to my knowledge is broken. Any fix to keep the heat out? Pretty sure my clamp spot was to keep just heat here

Unless the hose is newer, I'd be cautious about clamping it because it might get damaged, but the hose you want is the one going to the heater core, on the firewall and it'll feel hot once the engine is warmed up, or of course, just fix the blend door.

If you don't see any vac hoses off or damaged, you could use starting fluid to spray around with it running, checking for idle RPM increase, or do an intake smoke test to find leaks.

Is the check engine light on? You might see if you can pull trouble codes, though OBD1 for a '95? If so then the PCM connector for that is under the hood and the OBD2 looking one under the dash, won't work for that. Here's a topic:

Thanks for the info! Check engine light is not on and I didn't notice any vac hoses off or damaged. Probably just gonna try the starting fluid strat. Now to find that heater core hose! lol
