Does anyone know the part name/number for the seat lower plastic side cover that holds the seat adjustment switches and breaks all the time? I can find plenty of knock off parts on the Internet but after spending over an hour searching page after page on the Ford Parts web site I have had no luck identifying it. Very user unfriendly site. Thanks.

Mine was replaced and not long after broke again. They haven't redesigned it.

Hbalek... Ya I figured that was the case. Mine lasted 5 years until failure so I figured it was worth a go to replace it. Plus I won't have to listen to my wife ask when we are going to get it fixed every time she gets in the car. So there is that benefit...

Well... Nothing is ever as easy as it seems :). I finally decided to replace the driver seat side cover, and when I removed the old one one half of the two half circle parts shown in the photo fell to the floor. They appear to fit in the hole shown in the first photo, encircling the bar that comes out of the hole. However, I can't identify a way to press down the bar to get the top part back in. I could remove the cover on the passenger seat, but then I would likely just have two non-functional seats :). Anyone got an idea on how this is supposed to go together?

I figured it out... Raising the rear of the multi-contour seat to it's highest position takes most of the pressure off the spring bar. It was then possible to jam one half of the retainer into position and finish it with a drift. We'll see if it stays put.
