Hey...

If nothing else, X-Factor got this thread going again.;)

Hey here are soemore updates!!! And it has to do with the engine this time!!!

Well first off i recieved my Baumann internal tranny shift kit from blk mk8 (DAN) yesterday and being the imaptient person i am i put it in last night. It took longer than other people had said it would. It took me about 7 1/2 hours. But i was making sure i did it right. Being **** ya know. :D I set it all stage 4. One thing i got to mention that might be important to people wanting to install this is that if I can do it then anyone else can do it too. Just REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY!!! The instuctions are really detailed and all but if you miss a little step or wording here or there you will get lost. I read and re-read the instructions and just pretty much stayed patient and got it done. When you are taking a chance of messing the tranny up you want to do things right. Well after everything was said and done i put about 6 quarts of tranny fluid in it. And tried to shift it in different gears to get the fluid in and around all the little gizmos in there. Well after adding another 2 quarts it would barely shift. It would take about 5 or 6 seconds to shift from park to drive. Well then i got to thinking of how much tranny fluid came out i decided it was time to take another trips to walmart. Trust me when we say get at least 10 quarts of tranny fluid we arent lieing to ya. Dont pay attention to the instructions which say only to get 5-6 quarts. GET 10!! ----Continued on next post--->

Well anyways after i put enough tranny fluid in it shifted the normal way into park and drive and all. Then i took it for a test drive. At first i think it needed to work the fluid to a few more spaces but once i got it going it was REALLY FIRM. But only when i was on the gas if i was just cruising i could barely feel it shift hard. All in all i am very happy with it but i think i might to ahead and up it to stage 5 one day after installing my S/C. But stage 4 is strong enough to chirp 2nd, but i had my 20's on so i dont think it did it. Well here is a latest pic of the truck clean and with the new black trim also.

Man emon you are right. Hey thanks X-factor!! lol. Heck even i had forgot about this thread. :p

You are welcome, Rocket!

Deep down inside everybody means well here. Well atleast that is what I think/hope. I've been guilty a couple of times myself of posting less than nice comments and for those I apologize.

I stand corrected and I apologize!

You guys ARE for real. I guess I tried posting/replying without really knowing the whole story. On top of that, I wasn't having a good "car" day.

I apologize to everyone...

...except for SaleenExp (just kidding);)

No prob, I think I came off a little hard, couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or not:rolleyes: ;)

Don't mess with guys obsessed with "performance":D

Catch you guys later, my friend is comming over with his ACR Viper and we're gonna go have some fun in the BEAST:eek:

No hard feelings.

No prob X-Factor. Maybe on other boards people talk smack about performance and actually doing it but here from the people that i talk to here normally do what they say they are going to do. Well the serious ones anyways. Some other people would like to, but they end up not being able to afford it. I make sure i can afford it. Because if i dont then i do come off as being a poser. Even though i have nevermet any of you. JAMES, Saleen, X-box, PUR PONY, Troll, blk mk8, and so on. I still trust them as if it was my brother when they say they plan on building something hey mean it. Usually people dont trust each other on the net this much. Heck just go tive ya an idea of how much i trusted someoone on here. Without meeting him i sent blk mk8 a check for $1500 worth of car parts. And that was based off of just talking with him about what parts i needed. He could of just took it and left. but he didnt. Usually i am not that trusting, but as some have said here before it is just like a brotherhood here. Well i would love to BS some more but my buddy is having me meet his GF's older sister. :p C ya.

rocket, when all your performance mods are done, how much hp/torque are you expecting to have? i cant wait to see it when its all done.....its gonna be a BEAST:D

Hehe. Done???? Are they ever done? Well after i get done with what i want to do with it the X should have a touch over 3000 horsepower. lol. Oh you mean after i get done with this part of the engine? hehe. Well after the charger w/ 42 lb injectors, 90 mm MAS, 255 lph in tank fuel pump, Flipchip, and a few other things. I should be putting about 300 horsepower to the ground or maybe a tad more. Once i get the powerpipe on and tuned then maybe 315 or 320 rwhp and comparably higher torque. Depending. It is all just a big guess but it is an educated guess. Either way it all should be pretty close. Then i also plan on after i get that done and the article written for it, and get paid for that then i will have enough money to buy another nitrous kit(yeah i sold the zex kit) I plan on only running a 75 shot if i do get it in. But for now i am concentrating on my charger install and tuning. I will be real happy when the charger is in and running right. But if i get the nitrous in and tuned right here soon too it would truly be a dream come true. I am still kind of replanning phase 2 of my building operation. Phase 3 wont come till about 2 1/2 years from now. Which will be 347, race prepped AOD-E And other mods i am too lazy to post about now. I also have been playing around with the idea of throwing an E cam in there after the charger install. But i have yet to fully decide that. Well take it easy, and i will post what results i actually do get after I recieve and install all of this stuff and get a few dyno pulls done at JMS near Mobile. C ya.

HEY! ROCKET! you still alive? this whole topic/forum kinda died. im anctiously(not sure on spelling) awaiting the install of your SC. Let us know whats goin on, if anything has happened lately.
Peace, Steve

hey rocket,

i'm a phone call away from ordering a shift kit myself... one question is -- is this do-able with normal tools? all i have are some wrenches, and normal tools from a 19.99 tool kit i got from walmart. (or do i need some special tools (like a drill, etc..)

also, is this the shift kit with stage1: and stage2: options which are available online at jegs.com and truckperformance.com?

thanks.

Just still waiting for parts.

Man this is getting me frustrated. I have been waiting for parts for well over a month now. I did however recieve my 80 mm MAS and my fuel pump the other day from Dan. I will post a few pics here to let ya all see em. The MAS is friggin huge!!! I love it and man will it flow really really good. Just cannot wait to install. I am thinking i will put the fuel pump in this weekend and maybe tap the oil pan and try to get my fan spacer and new pulley / harmonic balancer assembly possibly on too.

Here is another of the MAS. I never did take a picture of the fuel pump but it is the Walbro GSS342 255 lph in tank fuel pump. Nothing really to that thing. Here is another shot of the MAS. Sure will all look nice under my hood.
