Hi all, when you take the driveshaft of to change the u-joints how do you keep the balls from the transfer case u v joint from falling out, and when thay fall out can thay be put back togather.

Don't you have to remove the cap when you attach it to transfer case?? or am I missing somthing, because the was no problem with the rear wheel drive when I took it apart.

It is not a new drive shaft that I replaced just the u-joints, when I removed the shaft from the transfer case the ball fell out of the cv joint and the ring the the ball must have been in and when I put it back togather I have no power going to the rear wheels. is there a cearton combination...

still having truble with rpms, now I found that if i stop on a slite slope and let the truck come down to a low idel 900, then take foot of brake and let the truck coast the rpm will start ot rise to about 2500 and let it coast till it comes to a stop only then will the rpms come down to 900...

The leak could be the head gasket, I don't think there is any water going through the intake mainfold. (just a thought) so you might have to replace the head gasket
