    I bought a rear end at the Junk Yard this weekend and was trying to decode the axle tag (it didn't match up to whats on the rangerstation.com) and was hoping you guys could help out. Its an 8.8 w/4:10's is all I can tell from the tag and the ring gear. I pulled the axles and they are 31 spline...

    Im going to buy a 8.8 rear end from a junkyard. It has disc brakes and 4:10's w/trac lock. Are there any of these axles that don't have 31 spline ? Is there a way that I can tell for sure that it came out of an explorer w/out opening the diff. ? I know there is a tag that will...
