There is another great area that I will try to get pictures of just past Tooele. If you head into Stockton and take a left on Silver Ave. it will slowly wind towards the mountains until it becomes a trail head that branches left and right. If you head right it will take you up the mountain...
Tranny has gone twice.
Main seal has a slow leak.
Oil pan has slow leak.
Rotors have been replaced at least once.
An 'incident' ended up toasting the alignment and U joints.

Passenger side Lock/Unlock doesn't work.
Check Engine light bulb...
Lol! I actually just replaced the check engine light bulb today! How would you know to replace it if you always want it off anyways?

The Charred Remains
There is always a possibility the light has gone the way of the Dodo. As far as the not running part there is also a...
Finally, here is a picture of my baby as of this last Sunday. I want to restore it completely in due time, whether it be a few years or many years. I am also looking into a 2 inch, 4 inch, and 6 inch lift and all the other catches that go along with lifting it. My goal is a 4", but I could...
Here is the White Rim Trail. It would also be another great wheeling road for the club to tackle (assuming that there is some form a loosely created club here headed by NHarris and that I am able to join????). The sections we drove in were cake and every so often there was a spot that required...
Here is a picture of the Shafer Trail in Canyon Lands. As the trail descends from the plateau it works its way onto BLM Lands, which means unrestricted camping and campfires. The National Park is quite stingy about fires (mainly to deter gathering of wood and cutting down trees). It can be...
Hell YES!!! There is an Explorer group in Utah! I'm definitely a newbie, but two weekends ago my dad blew out both rear leaf springs and punch the gas tank in our 73 jeep so I've been able to spend more time focusing on my Explorer (so much for all the engine work we had invested in the CJ5)...
Went camping in Wyoming. Before this pic was taken both the bumpers were resting on the ground. I am currently very leery of wet clay now. This trip is what prompted me to look into lifting/bigger tires and eventually landed me here!
Just experimenting with the image adding feature. Here is my truck as of two months ago. I've done a lot of work on it since, but unfortunately my super power is shearing off bolts :(
Also, just in case you didn't already realize this, Pick n Pull or any other junk yard is a perfect place to practice tearing into an explorer without messing up your own.
Welcome to the forum! I have also had the clicking/popping sound when cornering before and as it turns out I do believe it has a CV. I took it to the local mechanic (before my do-it-yourself revival) and I think it was $120. Glad to hear you have a 94'. I have a 93' and just love the first...
I've had a 93' Ford Explorer for 3 years now. It has gone through a lot despite being completely stock. I just started attempting to restore it, and hopefully it will get upgraded along the way. It is a V-6 with 215,000 miles. Heart of a lion.
