    A4LD - no "park"

    Well I took the shift linkage off, and made sure the lever was moved all the way, same thing. I took the tail off the old tranny, and I think it shouldn't be a problem to do it on the one in the truck, just might be a bit messy. Looking at the pawl I imagine it would take some force to break...

    So I just swapped out an A4LD in my sons ranger, old one had no forward gears. Well, just my luck, I have no park in this one. I assume there's something wrong with the parking pawl. Can I pull the tail housing off each trans and swap the pawl while the trans is in the truck? Thanks in...

    Another A4LD bites the dust, have reverse, no drive gears

    First post, found this thread while searching for the exact same problem you are having. No forward gears, but still have reverse. :mad:
