glad you pointed the smell out mike ...i thought i was imagineing things but yeah i noticed a different oder ...i actually did check the milage on the e-85 today and it was down a bit ...15.9 mpg for 131 miles of around town driving ...some of that was in 4wd too . brad

we finally got e-85 near my home ..its about 40 cts cheaper than reg no lead , im on my second tank of it now and can barely tell the difference in the mileage and can tell no difference in performance . brad

k and n filters are awesome !...i failed to mention i change the oil filter at 3550 mi and this vehicle sees nothing but high speed highway miles with trips of no less then 30 miles . brad

i luv my X 4wd ...i dont off road it but it cant be beat for the snowy slick stretchs of I-80 i see here in nebraska and iowa ...though i dont push it ...i hav noticed it get lousy gas mileage with the 4wd engaged ....but come to think of it the temp that day was near zero and had to fight a 30...

is anyone here useing mobil 1 extended performance moter oil ?...ive used mobil 1 in my 04 explorer since it was new and was doing 3500 mi drains , but last yr switched to the extended performance formula and am doing 7500 mi drains ... mobil says 15000 mi drains are acceptable on this form but...
