as a kid in the late 7os i used to slay the small mouth bass in the pools below the dam ...give it a try and let me know ...most of my family still lives in that area ...good luck charlie !

It's looked like crap for the past few weeks. Every time I wash it, it snows within 24 hours.

I'm a little north of the biggest accumulation they're predicting...I'm right on the line between 4-8" and 8-12". Still, that just means another morning of having to go out and clean the snow off 75+ cars sitting on the lot, then move them all to plow. That's the part of my job that's getting quite old.

Yesterday, we had rain and freezing rain, and later on at night, all the roads turned into glare ice. My ABS pump was getting quite the workout!

I don't plan on doing any detailing till spring. Still, there's enough wax on it that a lot of the snow just slides right off.

i hear ya mike ...im blessed with a heated garage with floor drains and hot and cold water ...i wash the ex and the gp a couple times a week but the minute they leave hanger theryre dirty again ..salt and calcium cloride is so hard on things .

Ah, more snow. We (here in Lansing, MI) Just got about 6/8 in and it's all gone thanks to the Bloomin Rain. Tonight it'll, Hopefully, Stay Rain and then Snow at around Daybreak. I Plow on the side of my two other jobs and Getting up at 2 in the morning to Plow, then Drive a Bus, then Deliever Food just kills me. Oh, and our "fellowship" meeting is tomorrow night and guess who gets to Set it up?
<------Him that's who. So....After I finish my Afternoon runs, I go set that up and Run it for 3 or so hours. Then, Around 2am Again, I'll get a Call saying we need to clean up things. Doh'.




BTW, I used to love snow intill this job.

hows that for snow in northern illinois and southern wisconsin ?...last i heard milwaukee was looking at 14 plus ins ..only wound up with 7ins here in omaha .

A friend in Madison said they got near the 20"ish mark, I didn't see a single flake today. It is nice, and sunny out. Not warm, though

Yeah, Madison and Milwaukee got the worst of it. Surprisingly, we didn't get much here. Maybe 3" or so. In an odd way I was somewhat disappointed. The best part was, the wind was blowing in such a direction that none of the cars on the lot had much, if any, snow on them! YeeHaa! Took a couple swipes with the plow truck in the driveway, and that was about it.

Now they're predicting temps below 0 for the weekend. Great, just great. The Saturdays that I don't work, I go out in field service (I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses) in the morning, and I can't stand it when it's so cold. Not too many people like to talk at the door very long when it's terrible cold out either. My Explorer got to go out in service two weeks ago when we had our last big snowstorm. The others in our group had cars or minivans, and none of them are all that good in 8" of fresh powder. Getting in and out isn't as easy as with a car or minivan, but it worked well, if maybe a little cramped in the back seat. I just liked the fact that I got to drive!
