Red Fluid Leak - Transmission or Power Steering?

Thanks so much for the quick replies! I can confirm it is not leaking from the top, that bottom connector/line pictured is to blame. It led me to some more research on the transmission cooling lines and I think I may have an issue with the connection valve. A video from FordTechMakuloco says...

Red Fluid Leak - Transmission or Power Steering?

I have an 06 XLT, 4.0 4x4 with 140,000 miles. I noticed a small leak after my drive from Philly to DC at the front of the vehicle when unpacking. There's a red fluid slow-dripping from a pipe connected to the radiator. Has anyone else encountered a leak here before? I'm not familiar with where...

    Tire recommendation

I can second the LTX Defenders, they've been quiet and grip well in the snow. I'm not one to change tires for the different seasons so I've found them to be a solid all-year tire.

    06 Mounty, front end noise

Sounds like a wheel bearing. If I remember correctly if the noise gets louder when you turn right it means the left wheel bearing is going because more weight is being shifted onto it. My 06 explorer left wheel bearing went at ~105,000 miles

Is a Deteriorating Rubber Boot a Problem?

"I’d recommend a look at the rears, and also the bushing that the large bar that connects to that runs through that mounts it to the frame." I second that, my 06 and my mom's 07 both had a rear sway bar link snap off at around 110,000 so can't hurt to do them too.

2010 Explorer XLT AC Blower speeds 1-3 not working high works

Blower Motor Resistor - super easy to replace. It should be behind your glove box. The part is about $20. About halfway down someone posted a brief how-to: 07 Explorer blower motor resistor?

    2007 Noise when turning

Generally sounds when you're turning is wheel bearings, how many miles are on it? Have the wheel bearings ever been replaced?

    HVAC

I would definitely take a look at the blend door actuator. You can fit your hand in there like PL suggested but I'd recommend not re-installing the top bolt that holds it in, the lower two hold it in perfectly fine for me. I've also heard that the temp must be set to cold when replacing it, not...

    HVAC

Are both the zones set to the same temp? I'd imagine so, it could be the blend door for the right side not working. Does the air temp stay the same regardless of what it is set to? Is it just the right side center vent that's hot - what about the far right vent? That would help determine blend...

    Steering Wheel Controls Install

Thanks for the info, I found that other thread. I'm gonna have to rethink this if I still have to go to the dealer. Maybe a junkyard one with a radio and those buttons would work.

    Steering Wheel Controls Install

Nice write up - I've been thinking of doing this myself, I have the stock radio still so I'm hopeful it would be more of a plug and play should I find a junkyard with the part. My 06 is a year where the aux button on the radio was stock, but not the "3.5mm line in" connector so it was plug and...

All within the past 10K miles

That's brutal, mine's not nearly as bad as that but if it's any consolation I've had some of the same problems in the past 15K or so, New battery Passenger Front wheel bearing (didn't do that myself ~$350) Alternator Belt tensioner and idler pulley All 4 sway bar links (one snapped off while...
