Hi Otto, From what you're saying, it seems to be working as intended. Since most phones don't have unlimited data plans and some even have to pay for tethering, this feature will turn off when you turn the vehicle off. Hope that clears this up for you! Rebecca

It's best to setup the destinations prior to a road trip or while you're stopped. That way you can press the voice button, summon SYNC Services, and have the address populate. Since we're all about safety, the app doesn't allow you to enter information while driving. :) Rebecca
