Truck has 235,000 miles on it, pretty sure this was the original steering shaft.

Just replaced the steering shaft with Dorman 425-384. Old one had some play in it and the boot was destroyed. Easy repair, two bolts. Remove the left front wheel for better access, undo the steering rack bolt first before the upper one near the firewall.

Likely water got in it.
