FROADER's 1991 Eddie
I forgot I took this pic (driver's side), but there is about 1/4" between the mount and the bushing. This is before I loosened the nut! Both sides looked the same.- FROADER

New radius arm bushing and shocks today. No more clunking and less vibrations. :) Photo to compare what I'm guessing are the original '91 bushings and the new ones.- FROADER

I used Krylon Fusion on my last rig, with good results. Thanks. I just used a scotch bright pad to scuff everything up, cleaned it off and went for it with 4 light coats. That's how I did my last rig, too.- FROADER

I needed to get new rear wheel cylinders, shoes and drums and now it stops like it's supposed to. I think I'm done painting, now. I got the other side and the front done so it's all black and white.- FROADER

Not quite Ultra flat this time. That worked ok for a trail rig (that I didn't really wash), but got dirty way too quick. This is satin... :)- FROADER

Sorry, I forgot to reply! I appreciate it, but I'm good, thanks. So, the windows were tinted last weekend, and this weekend I'm working on getting the tan/chrome to black. I hope to have time to finish it up tomorrow, but here is what I have so far. IMG_1323 by FROADER posted March 23, 2019 at...- FROADER

If nobody from CA is going, maybe Rick could get it and I'll see him at Truckhaven sometime after that. If not, no worries. I'll see if I can make something happen, which would be great. Thanks for offering that!- FROADER

Radius arm bushings and exhaust. There are a bunch of holes in the tail pipe (after the muffler), and then just drive it for a couple of years, until I can build it. It's a DD for a while, then it will get the D60 and 10.5. Although, if the Atlas ends up not going to who wanted it, I'm going to...- FROADER

So I had a pretty bad driveline vibe on acceleration, and when I had my brakes done, I asked them to check it out. They said it was in the diff and that it would cost $1700 for them to fix it... They wanted $810 for a used axle and $900 for labor to put it in. Obviously I told them to pound...- FROADER

Small update. I found some Best Buy gift cards (between 4-6 years old) and got a new head unit and speakers. The stockers were completely blown out, so this sounds a lot better.- FROADER

This spot is a little different than Truckhaven. In a valley near the 78 and S2. Wesley did awesome once he remembered to use the brake... He crashed a couple of times going too fast and not being able to handle it. :) Downloading pics and vid to the puter, now.- FROADER

Yes! I plan to join you guys whenever you go out, I'll just have to take the easy lines for a while. I'd be into Cleghorn or easier Big Bear trails, etc... I'm actually heading out to Truckhaven this weekend (in the van) with my son, so he can ride his dirt bike. I'm either going to borrow and...- FROADER

Nice! I still have the 4" leaf springs for the front U-Joint conversion I was going to put on my last van (also why I have those axles), FYI... ;) Here is my thread on Portal - Spaceball 1 Not sure about how many owners, but it was actually an auction vehicle, and I found it in Yorba Linda! I'm back in the game. I can't seem to get away from white first gen 4x4 explorers... My first was a 92 XLT. The second was a 92 Eddie built by board member @Felix I did have a black 2010 XLT with a small front BTF spacer lift and 32s: This one is a 91 Eddie. It's pretty clean...- FROADER
