Smoke and low power - turbo replacement
Sorry to hear of this. We've had customers that replaced their own turbos at home in the garage, but we've also had people try to tackle it at home and end up bringing their vehicle in for service. If you have our old tuner that is the little grey box with the green screen then yes you are correct. That tuner we give you a $200 trade in credit to the Mycalibrator touch. If you have the Mycal touch you are good to go no need to trade in.- Livernois

You are very welcome, happy to help out and my apologies for the delayed response. Thanks for sending over your request! The colder thermostats and downpipes are two items that would benefit from updated tunes to take those mods into account. Actually I have just double checked that and the N/A Explorer tuners were actually on sale already for $549 before this $100 off promotion began. The PIU models still have speed limits / RPM safeties in place like most all vehicles on the road today. However being a police model they have higher speed limits than the standard models since they are often used to pursue suspects. Is it possible to recalibrate the Explorer transmission to the same settings as the PIU transmission?
Thanks for the shoutout! Our tuning for the transmission areas of the calibration improve the shift points, shift firmness, raises rev limits, reduces torque management and more. These changes alone can help to drastically improve performance and drivability as well. Then combined with the...- Livernois

how would one start modifying?
Yes I agree those Saleen Explorers are very sharp! As others have mentioned with over 300k miles on the engine I wouldn't suggest adding a significant amount of additional horsepower without re-building the current engine or installing an upgraded engine while you are there. We do offer some...- Livernois

Welcome to the forum from the crew at Livernois Motorsports. Sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing. Why I’m NOT running E85 in my 2020 Explorer ST
We've found like any EcoBoost vehicle that the Explorer ST's will run best on the higher octane fuels and Ford also suggest using premium right in their owners manuals as well. 87 octane is the bare minimum you can use with out risking engine damage or void warranties. The ECU targets 93 and...- Livernois

If it's stock I normally stick with the OEM thermostat temps which is normally 192-195 degree.
