Yes, this is the beginning of a 2nd gen ohv m90 install. JD has a thread going on his 1st gen install. JDs is far more radical. Thanks Rocket, Ill go to the yard and see what I can find. Sunday is suposed to be a bit warmer. I was just looking at the pics JD posted, and couldnt help but...- Dono

Another OHV M90 build
That looks awesome! Looks like my existong cables will work. What's the cross section measurement on the bolt holes for mounting? I'm not home to measure mine now, but that tb sounds like it will solve my issue, for sure!- Dono

Another OHV M90 build
The tb holes are made for sohc. I'm hoping the mounting holes allign for the ohv, otherwise Ill try to make an adapter. I want to stick with the tb I have to avoid cable issues for throttle and cruise. It does make sense on the iac that one hole goes before butterfly, and 1 after. I'm sure I...- Dono

Another OHV M90 build
I understand pure vacuum needs to be before the supercharger. I also understand Boost/vacuum gauge needs to be after the supercharger. I know the iac needs to be before the supercharger, but can I just adapt it to the intake and away I go, with both iac holes going to exactly the same spot...- Dono

Another OHV M90 build
My question is around what plugs in where (Specifically, the iac). Where? The iac has 2 holes in it. Whats that about? How do I make it work on the new intake? Also, the EGR. Can I just get a second egr tube, and use the side with the two bolt holes to attach to the intake? This is little...- Dono

3800 M90 Build
I'll have to start a build thread right away. My Manifold came from rpcaster, and I have more questions. Im going to have to adapt this to work on my ohv (Just the ports required). I don't see a spot for the iac in the manifold, so I'm going to have to fabricate something. I am impressed...- Dono

How are you handling the IAC? I need to spend more time understanding where each hole goes in the intake. The iac has two holes, really close together. I'm confused (again).- Dono

Misfire/Lack of Power/CEL
Sounds like you have multiple issues. Is this your daily driver? You might want to do a compression test, on the offending cylinders, for sure. You might have blown lower intake gasket. The coolant might be leaking inside the motor, and outside the motor. When you have a look at the spark...- Dono

New supercharger kit for 4.0L
Wow, old thread.... You have the OHV motor? Im in the process of pulling pieces together to add a M90 to my 2000 Ex with the 4.0 OHV. The vendors I'm using are Ron at bansheesupercharger.com and James at hensonperformance. Ron has supplied the lower mount, and intake routing. James has...- Dono

Multiple misfire. Failed Coil pack test.
id have to say most, if not all, factory heads crack. get a set of aftermarket heads, and a set of rocker arms and push rods. your cam will be fine, umless your looking for more power (thats how I ended up with my aftermarket cam. Sorry for the bad news.- Dono

Look at your heads closely inbetween the intake and exhaust valves. Is there a crack there? It kinda looks like it in the picture(cylinder 5?)- Dono

What are you doing about your PCV valve? I just started thinking the bost might cause an issue. Or, with the check valve on the PCV valve, its not an issue as under boost the valve is just forced closed? Just stick 2 breathers on the valve covers?- Dono

Multiple misfire. Failed Coil pack test.
I had a guy at a Cylinder head shop tell me that its the ehanol in the gas causing a lot of burnt valves. Ive never heard anyone having this issue with this motor. Im sure some others will post here. Its nice to see that you don't have to go in to the block to fix your issue.- Dono

Multiple misfire. Failed Coil pack test.
to have 0 compression, it has to be a head (By that I mean, valve stuck open, etc)., or a hole in your piston. Maybe pull the valve cover and see if a valve is stuck down? You pretty much have to take the head off no matter what to fix your issue. Honestly, its a pretty straight forward thing...- Dono

delta cam rocker arms trashed
Im not sure just how bad your not wanting to srart condition is, but mine does the same thing. If i start the motor from cold, and kill the ignition in...say...under 30 seconds, then try a restart fairly quickly. I have to crank the starter for a few extra revolutions for it to start. Its...- Dono

Stuck - Remove EGR Tube to Remove Upper Intake
I dont remove the egr tube anymore. loosening it seems to work for me. I pull the dipstic, and remove the bolt holding the frame of the egr, then loosen the other 2 bolts at the beginning of the tube where the gasket is. This gives the tube more than enough play to pull the upper intake...- Dono

How to: END ALL 98-01 REAR WIPER PROBLEMS!
I have a feeling that making the rear wiper work properly on a different generation isn't going to be straight forward. There might be some more extensive rewiring required. Anyone have a detailed schematic of the 2nd and 3rd gen wiper systems?- Dono
