thank-you for the replies, and its personal preference, i have busted a rear driveshaft before, removed the bolts out on the trails and drove 80 miles home in Front wheel drive, the slip yoke will drop the fluid out making that impossible if the rear shaft breaks. so for my short term goals in...- alaskan155

has anyone ever swapped one in a 1st or 2nd gen explorer? I know every one does the bw4406, which i perfer not to due to the slip yoke, but i was wondering about the bw4407? i have a 97 5.0 with a bad t-case(in 2wd now, using it for my Daily) and a 94 that is getting a 96 expo 5.0 drive-train...- alaskan155

just like to bump and say thankyou, i just did this to my 2000 ranger and it works better than new, all i did was take apart the electric motor and chuck the center part in a drill, then ran some fine sand paper around it until it was nice and clean, same with wear the brushes go, then i...- alaskan155
