Have 1991 Explorer that I installed fuel pump after sitting for 6mo.
Now when am driving sometimes I hear popping(like backfire) under the hood
passenger side. ALSO sometimes when I park and turn the engine off I continue hearing the popping under the hood for about 60 seconds. Counted...
I have 1991 Explorer. I changed the fuel pump motor. (just the lil cylinder motor part). Normally I would hear whirring sound from fuel pump when I turn key on only. Now i hear it all the time when driving. I drove for 1 day and let the truck sit. I think something is wrong. Any ideas?
