Fuel pump compatibility between model years.

I'm about to buy an extra fuel pump for my '94 3.0. Checking local sources it appears there's differences between '86-89 pumps and the later '90-97 pumps. So what's different?,... and will the earlier pump fit my '94? Thanks, -Kenny-

Hub caps (the small 7" dog bowls).

I scored a set of 15" Ranger steel rims and was considering installing the small 'dog bowl' hub caps. But looking at both the rims & the caps, I can't see how the caps attach to the rims. The older Fords and Mopar rims had 3 or 4 raised bumps the hubcaps grab on to, but not these. I'm genuinely...

Check your fan. You might be spinning a stick of dynamite.

My original plan-of-attack was to fix a front cover oil leak, then replace the timing chain along the way. As I have done many times before, I also opted to eliminate the OEM fan and install an electric. As I was cleaning up my mess and rounding up the OEM discarded fan, I immediately noticed...

    1994 3.0L 5 speed Aerostar to-do's & pending modifications.

After purchasing this '94 three weeks ago, I've detailed a preliminary list of to-do's & modifications. First & foremost was a persistent oil leak which appeared to be the front crank seal - well. I was wrong. After drilling down to the suspected culprit, I found instead a misplaced (pushed out)...

    1994 3.0L Aerostar. Electrical question.

Small black plug w/red light mounted at the bottom edge of the dash and below the steering column. What's it for? I assume for a code scanner? The tiny red light is on all the time, even when the ign is turned off and key removed. I've ordered shop manuals, but have yet to receive them. Thanks...

    1990 3.0L automatic - 22 city - 29 highway average.

I'm a stickler for 'decent' fuel mileage, no matter what I drive. I'm no hypermiler, but I do expect well over 20 MPG (city) or I'm looking for another potential candidate. I like the Aerostar's potential, despite it's quirks... which I can live with. Basically, all I ever needed was a reliable...

    1994 3.0L Aerostar 5 speed questions.

Cheers, Many good reads here, thank you,... so thought I'd join the crowd and badger the wisdom. I just purchased a clean '94 XL 3.0L 5spd shorty. This is my second Aerostar - the first was '90 3.0L auto XLText. I bought the '90 with a failed A4LD (I assume original) - very odd failure...
