Just changed out my thermostat, and thanks to Ford, I did it twice. They gave me the wrong gasket (too loose) and it leaked. I was suspect of this, but it actually came with the thermostat so I figured it would be OK. So I had to resort back to the gasket on the old thermostat. Obviously...

When replacing the thermostat, do you guys take the hose from the housing or just pop the housing off? Also, will a 1/4" ratchet with small socket reach all the holes? My 3/8" definately wont get in there and I lost my 10mm socket (darn). Guess thats it. Thanks.
