I think I got a "stuck" thermostat that I would like to replace. Wich thermostat should I get 180F or 195F and why? I live in LA where is mostly hot. My driving is about 95% freeway. Does 15F really makes that much of a difference? and wich one is stock? Thanx, Danny

How hard/easy is it to replace shocks on a 96, 6cyl, 4WD? It seems simple! Would I need any "special" tools? Got any hints or tips?????? Thanx! Danny

I bought the code reader, I got the code P0141 indicating "O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 - Sensor 2). Now, How do I determine which sensor it is and where is it phisically located. According to my faithfuly useless CHILTON'S repair manual, there are 4 sensors on the 96-97...

I've drilled holes (actually the damn thing broke and now there is one big hole about 3x4)on my 96 4.0. However, Is there a problem with the engine "sucking" up HOT air from the engine compartment? Wouldn't hot air produce a better combustion? I have not noticed any difference on MPG or power...

Has anyone tryed 265/70/15? Will it fit on stock 96 XLT 4WD? It seems that they are not much bigger than 30x9.5 (just wider, 29.6x10.4) Would they need to be mounted on wider rims?
