i understand and was debating the same thing, but I called the junkyard today just to get an idea on what it would cost to do the swap after seeing this tread and 15 bucks for the latches and newer plastic panel, I figured what the heck.

I know this is an old thread, but I just did this today. I didnt have the holes in my hood either (1996) but it was a straight forward swap. Same hood release cable too. I just drilled 2 holes to mount the latch on the hood after marking were the holes would go. I just held on to the latch...

who makes the roof rack? looks nice, My 96 x just rolled over 230,000 and is in the same great condition as yours.

last week I tinted my tail lights minus the backup lights, tinted the upper parking lamp in the front, and removed the amber lense in the side parking lamps. It looks a lot better now. Ill take some pics of it later today.

This is all I have right now. I had a little accident last year (not my fault) so this was the dismantled pics...but you get the idea of what it looks like.
