    I took my wife’s Explorer in for a Smog check today (Kalifornia) and they failed it for a "missing" catalytic converter. It has two (one on each) down pipe, but then after the 2-1, they said there is supposed to be a 3rd converter just in front of the muffler so it failed the visual inspection...
