    Missing some ooomphhhh!

Guys, correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't his issue sound like that sticky we have around here pertaining to the throttle wire slipping and only opening the throttle body 25 to 30% at what should be wide open throttle? Mine is doing the same thing, only I have a manual transmission, but the...

    What Engine Will Work?

Well I've searched all over this forum and I have found plenty about 5.0 conversions and pushrod to sohc conversions (and vise-versa) but nothing about cross-generation engine swaps. I guess we'll just have to try it out and see if it fits. I'll let you guys know.

    What Engine Will Work?

Hey everyone. I have a 99 Explorer Sport V6 pushrod with two cracked heads. I am looking to get a new engine and I have a friend that can put it in, however it is a pushrod V6 from a first gen Explorer. My 'sploder comes with the 5 speed manual transmission. Do any of you know if the engine...

Crisis - car wont start after a pit stop.....

Yeah, I had the EXACT same problem. I would get under the truck and tap the starter with anything hard and it would fire right up for a week. Then eventually it wouldn't start at all. Stranded my wife and I while we were out and about. Fortunately I have a 5-spd 'sploder and we were able to push...

Then, several weeks later i noticed that the block was leaking an orange fluid, the fluid was coolant and when i drained her it came out orange, goopy, and very...

This is a freeze plug, right?

Not even sure, just noticed it was low one day, stopped at the gas station and grabbed some coolant to top it off and then all this started happening. Hind sight is always 20/20 I'll be researching before making that choice again.

This is a freeze plug, right?

It's a white smoke. It isn't really thick, maybe as thick as when you just start your truck in winter, but like I said, it isn't cold where I am right now, which makes me nervous.

This is a freeze plug, right?

Okay, update: What happened is that i mixed the stock coolant with the wring kind which made a very corrosive mixture. This has sprung a leak on the freeze plug and also screwed up my cooling system pretty bad. Now I have noticed smoke coming out of the tailpipe and it isn't cold where i live...

This is a freeze plug, right?

I have a massive coolant leak on the side of my block, I think it is coming out of where a freeze plug should be. Tell me what you guys think this is. That picture shows the hole very faintly from where the leak is coming from. The picture is taken from the driver's side, about the middle...
