IIRC, Microsoft only does the sync software. The MyFordTouch, the graphical user interface, is all done by Ford. Sync works great on all Ford vehicles... it's the MFT that people are having problems with.

Are you going from 2.4 to 2.8? To be honest my 2.7 sounds like it operates very much like your 2.8. I really wish Ford would release an update list. It's ridiculous not to know what fixes and/or feature updates each release has.

Since I have my explorer, I prefer not to see everyone elses ordering problems. Like others have said, I figure as the dealer lots become more populated, the ordering forum will die down and will need to merge. Until then, keep it separate.

I haven't had any issues with it. I've even tried to take corners a little fast just to see if I could feel the cornering control kick in. I couldn't tell if the Ex was doing any intelligent braking or if it was just a natural decceleration... if it was working, it was certainly not anything...

Try the obvious fix... fresh batteries. My FOB works great, every time, and at distances of at least 50'. As was stated earlier in the thread, ex's with push button starts have greater distance than those without.

I did not sign anything nor did I make a deposit and I received my vehicle without any problems from the dealer. It's probably not the most ideal situation, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. A good dealer wants to build a relationship with you... not screw you over.

Are you talking about the MFT or rear DVD players? For the MFT, I believe it's only through the AV input. I've tried to get video to play through USB on my Zune with no luck. I have not tried a thumb drive though...

Just to point out the Ex also has HD radio... IMO, the Sirius radio is audibly a notch below anything else I play. It really sounds like 24kb or lower bitrate stuff. I like the variety on Sirius but the quality will likely keep me from renewing.
