    Largest Tires Without Lift?

265/75r16s working good for me, no rubbing and no lift.

Anyone tried 1 inch body lift and 2 inch front coil spacers?

Okay, will do. My Explorer has almost 103k miles on it and all original parts, so I anticipate something wearing out pretty soon anyway. When parts need to be changed, I'll keep Moog in mind. Again, thanks for the info...and I like your Explorer, it looks pretty cool!

Anyone tried 1 inch body lift and 2 inch front coil spacers?

Thanks for the input. I just bought a new set Cooper At3f 265/75r16s but haven't mounted them up yet, but when I do it'll be on the stock rims as I've read that's the biggest tire that'll fit in the spare tire location and the biggest tire you can use without any lift (sometimes). After having...

Anyone tried 1 inch body lift and 2 inch front coil spacers?

Thanks, but I'm not interested in a 3 inch body lift or even how it looks. I'm concerned about functionality and reliability.

    3rd gen lift help please

I'm looking at the buying the Protune Suspension 2 inch front and 1 inch rear coil spacers. That seems to be an approach that won't cause too much stress on components, and I have a set of 265/75r16 Cooper AT3s on the way, and they are 31.5 inches tall. Will it all work without rubbing? Has...

Anyone tried 1 inch body lift and 2 inch front coil spacers?

Just curious how much clearance a conservative approach to lifting our Explorers would generate. Like for example a 1 inch body lift and a 2 inch front coil spacers? Then I guess the back spacers would need to go up what about 1 inch? I'm going to lift my vehicle but don't want to create...

How to make your Ford Explorer steering column telescope PICS

I did this mod in 2010. Last month the knuckle broke off the gear shifter lever. Would advise caution for this mod, Ford may have stopped the option for reliability reasons. After my new gear shift lever knuckle was installed, I put the steering column as close to stock position as possible...

    Drivetrain noise...Need help!

Sorry to have hijacked your thread... I hope you got things figured out with your 04. ...I guess I was so bummed about mine, I didn't realize I was hijacking your thread. Again, my apologies.

    Fuel pump question.

It may not be the fuel pump... Check to see if your vehicle has a constant control module (CCM). Ford started using a circuit board to consolidate 4 relays under one module (fuel pump, AC, engine fan, ECM) are all in one metal box (CCM) on my '04 Mustang and it's under the passenger front...

    Drivetrain noise...Need help!

04 Explorer front end noise problem solved - front hubs After changing the driver's side front wheel hub, and still having noise that sounded like either the front differential or transfer case was bad, I changed the passenger side front wheel hub assembly and that solved the problem. The SUV...

    Drivetrain noise...Need help!

'04 drivetrain noise I'm having issues with my '04. Lots of noise from front end. Replaced left front bearing/hub assembly and it didn't resolve. Will replace right front hub assembly this week. Tires are OEM Michelin, all wearing normally, with 55K on the vehicle. It sounds to...
