Does anyone know what sub i can use to replace the factory sub i have a 8'' kicker sub but not sure if it will sound right the factory mach radio might not be enough to drive it.What can i use that might be little better the the factory sub.I think the factory is a 9 inch but not sure

when charging a/c on the 97 explorer what should be the psi on the gauge if it is 70 degs out.I know my system holds 1.17 pounds just double checking i know those cans in autozone you can buy but half the time the gauge doesn't work.

on the blend door when on A/C which way is the door is it closed tords the firewall for the A/C.

Think i posted in the wrong thread earlier my ac works good on max ac but if i turn it to just ac it blows hot air there is no clicking or any other noises would that be the blend door

I charged my AC works good my question is i put it on max ac works good switch it to ac i guess it low ac it blows hot any ideas could it be the blend door control air:eek:

I got a 97 explorer 4.0 sohc i put in a new thermostat old one was stuck open.Put the new o-ring everything went well but now i see it's moist around where the top half meets the bottom i cleaned well when it was apart anyone have this trouble at all:mad:

Well seems that my front half of the transfer case is bad the shift rod hole is out of round.There is a company in calif that repairs them 200.00 you get one done then you have to send back your old one for the core to get that money back 100.00.This explorer is a nightmare

I got a trans that has been rebuilt about 4-5 months ago.The explorer it was in was rolled.I want to change the fluid in it so i know it is fresh is it a good idea to pull the converter and dump out the fluid and put in fresh and put it back on the trans.Just wait till trans is in my explorer...

Alot of tranny's i'm looking up here the list 5r55e from 1997-2004 i thought the 97's were one year only like special breed.No other years would work thats what i was told

Just how many external sensors does the 5R55E have i know of the drum sensor and the DTR is there another one.

After getting more into this trans when it is cold i have i have all gears except drive tthen when wram it slips the fluid don't smell burnt.It don't smell like trans fluid and it is brown
