    Yes either way add a converter or using the high level input on the amp itself, it can be done either way, I would suggest an A/B class amp that would work with your sub or subs ohm load if using the high level inputs so it will produce cleaner music with alot less distortion. just my 2...

    are you changing your head unit or just trying to add an aftermarket amplifier? If changing the head unit just run RCA's for your aftermarket amplifier... If keeping the factory head unit you will need line level converters or something like a JL Audio Clean Sweep, or Memphis 6ix Converter...
