I was asking for the size and a bung is like a plug. It is truncated cylindrical or conical closure to seal an opening. Just like the egr port I was speaking of.

I have a 96 explorer with the 5.0l and I'm going to be putting on the cast iron exhaust manifolds to replace my cracked stock steel ones. Does anyone know what size bung I need to plug the egr port on the cast iron manifolds? Is there a local store I could find them at?

Do you need to buy new bolts or anything else to bolt on the cast iron manifolds? I want to swap to the cast iron ones as well but would like to have everything I need prior to the install.

What if it was an internal egr, does that mean I can't swap to the cast iron ones?
