    Cobra-R rims on Explorer

Does anyone know if those Cobra rims have sufficient load rating per wheel since Explorers are heavier than Mustangs? Also, is it safe to assume that since the Cobra rims fit so well on Explorers...just about any aftermarket rim (with the proper load rating) for the Mustang will fit as well?

    Cobra rims on explorer

Hey n2knee, do those Cobra rims have sufficient load rating per wheel to take them off road? Also, is it safe to assume that since the Cobra rims fit so well on Explorers...just about any aftermarket rim (with the proper load rating) for the Mustang will fit as well?

Max. Overall tire Dia. for a late model

Hey David, I have a question for you. I have a '99 also and I'm thinking of larger tires...possibly the 31x10.50's. I'm curious if the larger diameter tires affected your speedometer, if so, how much? Also was the torsion twist/add a lead necessary to go with the 32x11.50's...

Success with KKM and DynoSource Chip!

I'm considering purchasing a chip, but a have a few questions about it. Does installing a chip void the factory warranty. And...if it does, do you take the chip out everytime before going to Ford for 'routine' maintenance? Will the chip do any longterm damage? Thanks

    Install custom side markers!

Hey Cameron, Those side markers are really cool. That's one of the slickest mods I've seen yet...very original, I like that. I hope you don't mind me copying Dead Link Removed I've got to have those side markers. Okay, I have a few questions: I always 'assumed' that lights had to be...

Adding passive EQ to Mach system

Has anyone tried to, or know if it is possible to add a passive EQ (either 7 or 10 band) to the factory 280 watt Mach system and still keep the full functionality of the system (CD changer, rear radio controls and sub)? Thanks ------------------ 1999 Limited no mods yet...but considering

    synthetic oil

Doug, I have also heard that if you switch to a synthetic you should stay with a synthetic. I use Valvoline Durablend in my 99 Ltd. and I have been quite pleased with it. No leaks and smooth running. ------------------ 1999 Limited no mods yet...but considering

    Firestone AT all terrain?

Gerald, Thanks again for your help. Dead Link Removed I'm convinced. BFG's will be my tire of choice when I replace the 'Stones in a few weeks. My 99 Limited has the load leveling rear supension setup. Would that prevent me from doing the 'hockey puck' lift? Also, getting back to those...

    Firestone AT all terrain?

Thanks for the info guys...I appreciate it. Hey Gerald, I checked out your mods list in the Explorer Registry...pretty nice! I would love to see a picture of it. Can you post one or email me a pic? Also, since we have the same type of fender flares, what's the widest tire you think I could go...

    Neverdull ????

I thought about getting some polished rims, but I have heard horror stories of how they get water spots after being rained on. Is that true or is the dealer just yanking my chain to get me to buy some more expensive chrome rims? Also, how often would you have to use Neverdull to polish your...

    Firestone AT all terrain?

Hi, guys I have to ask....what's with the BFG A/T KO's?? I see a lot of posts recommending them. Are they really that good? I have Firestone Wilderness A/T on my Ltd and I've put about 16,500 miles on it so far and I have not have any problems with them. BUT, after reading some of the post...
