Definitely not remans. I always try to buy new whenever I can. Twice now it was the inner joint, and this last time it was both of them.

I had the same issue with not being able to lift the truck high enough. I got it up as high as I could and set it on jack stands. Then I set the small bottle jack that came with the truck between the frame and the main leaf spring and slowly cranked it up until the end of the spring sat low...

Yup... I have the EXACT same problem as well. I replaced my IAC with the one from Ford just last week and now Ive got a high idle and nasty downshift issues. Have you looked into the possibility of a vaccum leak? I think thats what Im going to try next. Ill let you know how I make out.
