    Thanks for the suggestions I've been too busy at work to check out much of anything - just refilled everything and now I need to drive it awhile to look for any leaks. As of now no foaming of oil on dipstick so I will update when I see something out of the ordinary. May get to drive it an hour...

    radiator hose from reservoir I did take off hose & blew thru it - everything was fine that way - the hole where hose attachs to radiator is so small less than pencil lead size - I wonder if that is a concern

    Hi - Just had dealer put in new radiator/thermostat/all new hoses - went on 1,500 mile trip thru mountains and 50 miles from home heat guage started to go extreme. Added a little to reservoir-it was not empty. From then on guage up and down-using A/C made no difference. Made it home last 20...

    Thanks Ranger I do have a friend that can vacuum out the system so that is probably the most critical item. It held two cans of Freon over night but the third day was back to hot air.

    What all is needed to exchange the a/c drier/accumulator -- I hear it leaking Freon out after I have put in Freon in till it's all gone? Any help would be appreciated - its a 1999 Ford Explorer with new a/c compressor

    A/C compressor - around pulley grease leaking out

    Thanks Rick & Corkey - I've had this explorer for a year now putting on 10,000 miles. I know a new or rebuilt compressor is probably the best solution - just trying to get thru summer heat of Nebraska. This is the fourth 1998-1999 Explorer I have had and they are very dependable vehicles.

    Just noticed about a month ago grease starting to show around A/C compressor pulley. It is slowly getting worse. A/C works fine but I see problems down the road. What may be the best solution. This a 1999 4-dr w/5.0 engine and 115,000 miles
