My truck was loosing coolent for about two years before I found it accumulating in my oil. Once I found it in the oil the engine was just about done. In the end I found it was cheaper for me to retire my explorer that fix it. Like you I am in school and it is real hard to work on your car...
Similar Prob
I have a 91 and coolent just seems to dissapear. I do however get a blast of a sweet smell every so often...Does this mean I have a leak somewhere or should I sell my X before I find out its more serious....
Similar Issue
I have been similar issues with my 91 explorer. When it gets cold my 4x4 doesn't like to work. Where is a good place to get specs/diagrams so I can get down and dirty or should I leave it for the pros.
Thanks,
Newbie Tom..
