That is definitely your problem. I had my head apart right before the short too but the wire wasn't in the wiring diagram so that is why it took so long to find. Did you have a chance to look again

OK, so here is my problem... I was getting a No Start, No Spark situation, so I took my multimeter to the coil pack and was getting a short between 1 and 5. So I got a new coil pack and a new 25 amp fuse, fired right up for about 5 mins then blew the fuse again, replaced the fuse, fired up again...
