Where did you find that picture? Looks like an intersection photo you get with your ticket When you run a red light, which is what she must have done.
Definitely looks real to me.
I need to replace mine also, but I'm wondering if there's any possibility of somehow damaging or causing a malfunction of the airbag by doing this? Is this pretty easy for the average joe, or should a dealer take care of it?
Thanks for the info. I am running stock right now, but I'm going to start with TT and shackles and work from there. I'm tired of the saggy Sport. A new leaf pack would be a wise move I think. Along with a bigger tire.
I have the same year and same engine. I had the 00M12 taken care of a month ago, and it solved my timing chain rattle altogether.
Before I had that done, though, I took the advice of another thread in here somewhere that gave a possible solution to any pinging/rattle noise that may be...
I keep hearing that play in the wheel would be a symptom of bad wheel bearings. Is it at all possible that you can have failing wheel bearings w/o the slightest hint of play in a wheel?
I've done a search, and couldn't quite find the answer. I'm asking because I thought my bearings may be...
I was thinking about doing the TT with Warrior Shackles, but I've been told that the TT can cause excessive wear on the CV joints, creating expensive problems later on. Anyone have any experience with this problem? From what I've seen from searching threads, there doesn't seem to be an issue...

All I've had to do is oil changes and regular maintenance. I may need to replace my IAC pretty soon. Extremely cold starts are becoming difficult, but that's only if I'm in 25f weather or less. Other than that I may have a wheel bearing going out, but nothing mechanical has...
I don't know if anyone will see this since it's already a month old, but....
I had a bit of a knocking/pinging problem that was not solved by the OOM12 recall items. I took the tip from the BMW manual mentioned above and dropped it into 2nd gear and did a bit of driving. A few times I blew...
This was my reply from another thread, but applies here also:
I also have the cold start/idle problem and yesterday had the OOM12 recall items taken care of. This morning was fairly cold, and the idle problem hasn't seemed to completely disappear, although it seems like it may have gotten a...
I'm having symptoms of a bad IAC Valve. I, for some reason, cannot find one online. All of these so-called Ford parts suppliers don't carry jack. I was hoping to avoid paying dealership prices.
Anyone know of a particular website that carries these?

It just doesn't want to get to that high idle...
Those general splash guards are easy to find, but I was picky about having the Ford emblem on mine, which are usually easy to find on EBay unused for about $20.00 plush shipping.
Keep an eye on EBay. That's how I found my set, and I only ended up paying about $40.00 for the whole set. There's always quite a few up for auction. Just be sure you know what you are buying. I bought the wrong ones twice.
Just had to add...
My DRL's are controlled by a slide switch on my rear-view mirror. If I have it on, the DRL's are on full-time. The farther I slide the switch to the right, the longer the headlights stay on after the vehicle has been turned off. I don't use it though. I always have it...
