It has to be grounded i have a 04 explorer with pioneer flip i hooked that wire to a switch and grounded it works fine no probs

Hi i have a black 04 explorer xlt, i was wondering, my truck came with the 4 x 4 push button to the left of the radio,ive seen a different set of buttons on other trucks that give u info on the truck like gas miles to empty i was wondering if its possible to add or not....thanks joe from spring...
