Hi all, I've got a '97 Explorer V8 AWD auto trans. My front ds went and I've been searching for another. There are two different ds for the V8; 4 bolt front output flange, or 6 bolt bearing cup front output flange. How do I tell which ds I have?

I have the V8 engine. Okay, so the problem may be with the transfer case? I'm going to have to remove the rear drive shaft and change the U-joints, maybe I'll drop the front drive shaft as well. Is there anything in particular I could look for to point me in the direction that it could be faulty?
