I have a '06 explorer 4.0L that has 106k on it, at what point should I think about replacing O2 sensors? Are they one of those things that "if it ant broke don't fix it" or does there performance degrade over time and need replaced?

Just to follow up with this issue I did some investigating this weekend and found that the seal on the temp sender is leaking and I'm going to replace it.
My wife has a 06 w/the 4.0l (106,000 miles) and it to was leaking from the t-stat housing so last weekend I removed the housing and replaced both seals and reassembled it. Night before last I went out after she got home from work just to check on the repair and found some coolant pooled on the...
