Just cuz theres 1 bad apple, does that mean the whole basket is bad?

I don't know what it's like at other localities, but I can't get BFG KO's or any other replacement tire right now. COSTCO told me that there is a three month waiting list for Michelins.

Just cuz theres 1 bad apple, does that mean the whole basket is bad?

According to the 8 Sept Wall Street Journal, there is no big flap about Bridgestone/Firestone tires in Japan. They attribute the lack of tread seperation incidents in Japan to the fact that there are so few SUV type vehicles there. Interesting!

    Fun at Firestone Dealer

When the news first broke about the tire recall, I had my girlfriend take our '93 Sport down to the local Firestone dealer to get the straight poop on what was going on. Our Explorer has the original set of ATX tires. An employee crawled under the car and checked the DOT numbers and told her...

Ford Cuts Back on Warranty Repairs

I agree with Rick. The best way to reduce warranty costs is to have less warranty repairs. Why can't Ford match Toyota or Honda with respect to frequency of repair statistics?

    Clunking from rear end

Allan, I have been trying to resolve the rear-end/driveline clunk in my '93 Sport for about a year now. It only has 40K miles on it. I hope you have better luck than I am having. My Sport will generate a very audible clunk from the driveline/rear-end sometimes on a sharp turn and always when...
