    Gear indicator fix went a little different.

    Ok so I removed the cover and metal knee plate. The cable and thumb wheel are right there in plain sight. As I started to adjust the thumb wheel, I noticed it was not moving either way I moved it. So I pulled on the cable from behind the white clip and away from the wheel. It moved the indicator...

    Scored!!! Free Explorer

    My brother in law just GAVE me his 1999 Blue limited explorer. Only 167,000 on the clock and runs great. Radio display is out and gear shift indicator is off a little, but other than that it's in great shape.

    Need advice.

    I have a 2000 Ex XLT. Auto with 4.0 SOHC. Just today while driving open flat road, it seemed to of slipped for just a second. Then ran normal. It has done once on 2 trips about 20 min long. The best i can describe the feeling is when I drive my mustang and take off from a stop light in the rain...

    4 low noise?

    I have a 2000 XLT 4.0 sohc. When I switch it into 4 low I hear a slight clunk noise. Is this normal? It works fine, just wanted to know if something might be wrong.

    Thanks to you guys, rough idle gone.

    So I started with finding the leak. The hose between air box and TB was leaking. This helped, but no fixy. Then I cleaned the MAF, TB, replaced gunked up IAC. Also found a bolt missing from the air box. The one on the lower back side, that is out of view. Then using the info here, I did the idle...
