I have key start, not push button. Remote is separate from the keys fob. Replaced battery in the remote start, not the key fobs. Any ideas?

I replaced the battery in the remote start and now both key fobs do not work...I tried the reprogram cycle, 8times on off ,locks cycle but fob do not program. Have to unlock the doors with key, and start before alarm goes off. Is there a reset ? Will doing a battery disconnect cause the key not...

Yes.I am referring to the Securicode Pad...it does not light up ..it was not working before..was not sure it was related....The remote start is a Ford accessory part and has its own key fob....just seemed odd that both the OEM key fobs stopped when we replaced the battery in the remote...

No...everything looked normal....wife's car...she figured it out after multiple trips to dealer before they did.....

Repaired...ended up being the shifter linkage and shifter. Would not go fully into park and disengage the relay.

Having the same issue with a 2011 when I replaced the battery for the remote start. Seem to something to the module????tried reprogram ... locks would cycle but nothing happened to the key fob...any ideas?

Also will continue to ring intermittently with key removed ... If you let it ring it will run down the battery ... Dealer seems clueless
