My brother had this Sport for about 5 years, then a year ago it became mine, then it me and momma traded and i had an 05 ecape while i worked a couple towns over. I blew that car up, and came back to the Sport. She aint pretty, but at 209,530 miles and just needing an 02 sensor and intake...

    Plans for my Sport

So I've been thinking about turning my 98 Sport 2WD 4.0 OHV into an offroad project truck when I acquire another truck as a daily driver. With the engine, I'm thinking of just a simple rebuild, maybe a mild cam and upgraded fuel delivery and ignition. As for the lift, I think I might go with...

    92 Explorer Eddie bauer on 32's - Now 35's

Bro, that's all that matters. If someone else doesn't like it, screw them, it's not theirs to decide what is and is not done to the truck.

    Interesting Morning

Blew my heater valve the other morning, and when I say blown, I mean BLOWN. Long story short, in about an hour and a half on a rainy day, I spent about $20 on a new valve, another $20 in coolant, and saw strong evidence that somebody in the past has run just about straight water in the system...

    92 Explorer Eddie bauer on 32's - Now 35's

Looks better without the stock running boards, then again, explorer running boards never looked that great for the first couple of generations. My 2nd gen has aftermarket smittybilt step bars, and they look alright. All in all, your truck looks good brother.

    Fault Code Trouble

I have just over 207,000 on the truck. I'll look into replacing my O2 sensors by inspection time, my primary concern are the trim codes. The MAF code is fixed and of no concern, it was just included for background info/breif code history.

    Fault Code Trouble

I understand that the MAF doesn't read rich or lean, but from what I've been told by others with experience is that if the MAF is a white dirty it's a leaner mixture, darker dirt(soot) is rich. I only touched the outside of the MAF housing and used CRC MAF cleaner. As for the O2 sensors, should...

    Fault Code Trouble

4.0 OHV. The trim codes are P0171 and P0174, but the code explanation doesn't specify which one, just "rich or lean." The O2 sensor code is P0153, bank 2 sensor 1. I can post pictures of the printouts if needed. When I cleaned the MAF, the build-up was white/gray, which would indicate running...

    Fault Code Trouble

Hey everybody. I'm trying to get some help with resolving an issue. So I was running 5 DTC's, MAF sensor, bank 1 fuel trim, bank 2 fuel trim, bank 1 O2 sensor, and bank 2 O2 sensor. I cleaned my MAF sensor out in hopes it would clear all of the codes, it did for a few days. After doing some...
